100th day of Kindergarten!

Today we celebrated the 100th day of Kindergarten - we can't believe the year has flown by this fast!!!  Take a peek at some of our activities today...

Our VIP starts off every day by reading our morning message.  Ryan was our VIP today.

Each student brought in 100 pieces of a snack today.  They counted out the 100 pieces with the help of their families at home.  In our 100 Day booklets, the students drew pictures of what they brought in today.

We made special hats to celebrate our 100th day of school!

The students had a race to see how many times they could print their names in 100 seconds!

One group of students counted out 100 toppings for a pizza.  What a large pizza!!

Another group of students counted out 100 gumballs for their gumball machine.  That's a lot of gumballs!!

We ended off our special day with our 100th day party snack.  What a great day!!

Our finished pizza and gumball machine!

Getting reading for Valentine's Day

The students painted beautiful hearts at the paint centre.  We then did a measurement activity with our hearts as part of our math unit.  The students had to measure how wide their hearts were using snap cubes.

This week the students were busy decorating valentine bags for the valentines they will be receiving next week.
