Jingle Bell Rock

This week as part of Bonaccord's Christmas Carol Sing-a-Long, our class performed a dance to the song "Jingle Bell Rock".  Our class had so much fun practicing!!  Please take a look :)

A Peek at our Literacy Centres

Our class participates in literacy centres (ABC tubs) daily.  The children experience various literacy activities to help them with letter recognition, the sounds letters make, story sequencing, rhyming, syllables, etc.  The literacy centres are changed weekly and the students are very excited each week to see what new centres will be open.

Halloween Howl

On every Halloween, the primary students at our school gather in the gym for the annual Halloween Howl.  This is an exciting day filled with relay races in the morning and a costume parade and dancing in the afternoon.  The students were so excited about wearing their costumes.  Here are some pictures from this fun day.

Our field trip to the Pumpkin Patch

We had fun at the Port Kells Nursery Pumpkin Patch!  We were so excited about our first ride on the big yellow school bus and enjoyed this special day with the other Kindergarten classes at our school.

Thanksgiving Feast

On Friday we gathered together in the gym with the other primary classes in our school to take part in the annual Primary Thanksgiving Sharing Feast. We have been hard at work pracitcing singing our song "We Cook Turkey". The students did a fantastic job singing in front of their peers!! The Kindergartens were very proud to share the turkey hats they made this week with the other students. Happy Thanksgiving!
